New video this week, and just in time for movie night this weekend! Check it out!
Even when it's super hot outside, we still go into the attic to check things out. We don't skimp on our services!
Make sure you are getting a quality home inspection done on your next house by giving us a call first! We inspect homes, condos, mobile homes, wells/septic systems, pools, sprinklers, and crawl spaces!
Where was this when we had young babies????
This switch, the one up high, controls the doorbell. Which means you can turn off the bell at times you don't want to be disturbed, like during the sacred nap time or when you are on an important call.
Genius!! Our dogs barking would probably eliminate the helpfulness of the switch, but I still really appreciate the options!
A newer type of outlet that we've been seeing is a GFCI that beeps when it's been tripped. This is perfect for items like a deep freezer in the garage, electrical aquarium or other automatic pet appliances, or anything else that you would need to know if the power goes out. Super cool!
We use an infrared camera to check for leaks and electrical issues. But sometimes we just come across a really cool picture!
This is radiant floor heating in a master bathroom. No more cold feet in the winter!
We don't run across them often, but here is a dog poop box in a yard! Kinda like a compost pile, but for dogs!
Not quite sure how we feel about these, what do you think?
Comment if it's a great idea, you think it's genius or if it's terrible, you would never use something so ridiculous!
One common concern among buyers, sellers, and home owners alike, is the hot water tank. We want hot water to be available at all times, but we do NOT want that tank to fail. Because if it does, there are 40-50 gallons of water coming out. And that's a problem.
While it's great to consider a tank-less system when it's time to replace your hot water tank, that might not be a cost-effective solution right now. However, there is something you can do right now to help make an existing tank a little bit safer, and thankfully it's pretty cheap.
Install a water-sensing alarm, like shown below. If water enters the pan, it starts beeping. This alarm gives you a little time to call a plumber before your hall or garage is flooded. While you will still need to replace the tank, at least you won't have to also repair flood damage!
Similar to Facebook, only useful
This is a great place to find interesting pictures, quick little notes, and funny memes. Just like posts you would expect to find on social media. Only these posts are searchable by categories, making this page significantly more useful for reference during a project. Or, just if you don't want to get sucked into the never-ending time-sucking vacuum of the Book of Face. Whichever.
Of course, you can get updates by following us on Facebook too. If you are "in" to that sort of thing.
